We are delighted to share with you our January Sustainability Activity Report — a reflection of the positive impact made possible through your stay with us.
This past month, our team continued to strengthen our commitment to protecting nature, empowering our internal team through sustainability workshop, and operating responsibly across all departments. Here are some of the highlights:
1. Eco Farm Harvest
Our organic garden produced 150.20 kg of lettuce, 5.85 kg of laksa, 13.85 kg of marigold flowers (gumitir), 7.50 kg of avocados, 26.19 kg of papayas, 4.40 kg of bananas, 0.58 kg of mint, 1.61 kg of turmeric, and 1.45 kg of cucumbers. In addition, 600 young coconuts were harvested. These products were served directly in our restaurants, reducing food miles and supporting farm-to-table dining.
2. Coral Conservation
On 14 Januari 2026, together with Indonesia Biru Foundation, we supported coral rehabilitation efforts at Kecinan Beach, North Lombok, helping preserve Lombok’s beautiful marine ecosystem for generations to come.
3. Mangrove Planting
Our staff and community volunteers planted 400 new mangroves at Cemare Beach, Lembar, West Lombok, strengthening shorelines and restoring natural habitats. This action was collaboration with Indonesia Biru Foundation and supported by Blue Bird Mataram.
4. Waste Management
We manage our organic waste internally, and this month a total of 2,061 kg was processed through our waste collection program. This initiative helps reduce the burden on local landfill sites.
5. Empowering Our Team Through Sustainability Workshop
A Sustainability Principles and Practices in the Hospitality Industry workshop was held at the Rinjani Meeting Room on 5–6 January 2026. The two-day program aimed to educate employees on key sustainability principles while strengthening their role in implementing responsible practices in daily operations. Approximately 50 participants took part in the workshop.
In addition to staff from Holiday Resort Lombok, the event welcomed representatives from Blue Bird Mataram, Blue Marlin, and the Zero Waste Indonesia Alliance, reflecting cross-sector collaboration in promoting more responsible and sustainable business practices.
The workshop featured Kandi Sekarwulan, an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Specialist, as the main speaker. Through interactive sessions, participants gained in-depth insights into sustainability concepts along with practical examples of how these principles can be applied within hotel operations.
Your decision to stay with us truly matters. Every towel reused, every refillable bottle chosen, and every eco-friendly experience you enjoyed contributed to these achievements.
