German course for Holiday Resort Lombok staff

Mrs. Hanna Flakus, our repeater guest offers German language course To Horlo staff & the course is organized on Tuesday & Thursday where Each lesson lasts about 60 minutes. This German course have been designed to build fluency in both spoken & the written language which included exercise for practice. Its aims to develop 3 basic skills: speaking, listening & writing. Around 9 people were joining the class. Due to the small number of participants from each department the individual requirements of each staff can be focused on.

Fire Competition at Holiday Resort Lombok

Again! HORLO held the fire competition on Monday, February 13, 2012 & was conducted by Training Manager. About 45 participants from various departments were participating on the program. This is great for all staff who need to know how to operate a fire blanket, fire extinguisher and fire hydrant, it’s aimed to ensure participants become familiarized with fire emergency procedure. This competition will provide all members with a greater fire safety awareness & is designed to increase staff confident taking the correct action in the event of a fire accordingly.

Holiday Resort Lombok Holds Personal Grooming Session for Staff

Holiday Resort Lombok recently held a training program on personal Hygiene & grooming for its staff on Tuesday, 24 January 2012. The session which was attended around 22 staff from various departments, was to educate them on self confidence, appearance, personal hygiene and good manners. Bahrudin, our Training Manager said, “These training programs that we have been conducting are at the very heart of Horlo Human Resource Dept. strategy, to help our employees perform to their fullest potential and expose them to various experiences. The management has always believed that training and development is an essential component to stimulating our employees' growth.

New Year’s celebration 2012 at Holiday Resort Lombok

On 31 December 2011 about twenty of guests gathered to watch the release of green sea turtles back into the ocean. A turtles release is also on the agenda as part of New Years festivities. With the resort inviting guests to participate in releasing baby turtles followed by a cocktail party. The hotel hosted the New Years Eve Party with the Lombok Cowboy Night Party in the hotel lobby with a live band, dance show and lucky draw and many more, a lavish buffet spread was displayed and enjoyed by our Cowboy and Cowgirls Guest. The party proved to be a success having all guest on the dance floor for the countdown to the year 2012

Blood donation at Holiday Resort Lombok

Horlo continues its support to the PMI (Palang Merah Indonesia) by organizing A blood donor that took place on 28 November 2011. This is not the first time that We organize blood donor program. We are proud to say that our company has been always more than eager to assume their social responsibility toward the humanitarian welfare of the community. Gathering a total of 39 units from all blood types & these Units were donated to the PMI (Red Cross Indonesia) to be used when necessary.

Taking care of beach cleanliness

Horlo has always been committed to maintain the cleanliness of the beach especially During the raining season & improve it’s guest satisfaction ratings. The management Of the hotel have executed a Cleaning Blitz in the hotel beach area on 29 November 2011. approximately 25 employees from various departments were sweeping, cleaning & collect the rubbish around the area.
